Hi coach Cabral it's me nick from the team last year I was thinking about you and the times the team and us had.  Well we did we won first place this year and the first game of the playoffs we won were in the championship.  On opening day me and Austin Cooper said that we would win for your and look were we are now.  Well today is the day and im going to try my hardest for you and the team.

Little Leauge Yankees in the Playoffs  / Scott Rowland
Hey Bob,
As I sure you are fully aware, the Swansea Little Leauge major division Yankees will play tonight in the playoffs.  They ended up in first place for the season and enter the playoff in the number one position.  Pat has done a great job picking up where you left off and has turned these boys into a great group of ball players.  I hope you enjoy the game and help the kids to keep their heads up and continue to play their best regardless of the outcome.  They are a great bunch of kids and I know most of them have been touched by you in some way through the years.  I'm sure that you are as proud of them as I am.

Father's Day  / Nancy
Hey Bob, Father's Day was a struggle for the kids. I'm sure if you had a choice, you'd be with them. We just want them to stop hurting. Time will help, but you will always be in the front of their minds. They will carry all the love you gave them inside of them forever. Close

Oh so you are hanging with my mom up there, I see she is showing you how to use us down here to communicate, I believe you had something to do with Nancy calling Mitch Cabral, and the triple right after -without a doubt I believe :).  And the closest person you can send the sign to -to get to your boys would be there mom.  I believe they are so young, they might not recognize a sign, geez some older folks dont even recognize- and I believe that you angels send the signs to the ones here that believe and recognize.  If we can continue to get signs like we do - it will certainly help us along the way, and once you start sending them to your boys, or should i say they start to acknowledge them, they will be ok!  And Bob remember while you are on one side of them Nancy is on the other :).  Give my mom a big hug and tell her I miss her ok?  Take Care and continue sending signs (especially on Fathers Day).  Donna ;)

Thinking of you  / Nancy
Hi Bob, So much has been going on! The schoolyear is coming to an end and not soon enough. It was a challenge to say the least, but we can think about a fresh start next year. I have a lot planned for the boys this summer. Good stuff ! I guess I realized how short life can be an you have to make things happen now. I thank you for living in the moment Bob.Because of you, Mitchell and Alec have a lifetime of memories. Your Little League team is still in first place. Pat is working real hard with help from all the supportive parents to make this year a memorable one. Something weird happened tonight. You know how Mitchell has been struggling at the plate for years now? Well, he had a game tonight and when he was up at bat I said, " come on Cabral" . I felt funny as soon as it came out of my mouth. I never ever say that! I always call him Bud, or Mitch during baseball. I felt like it wasn't me saying it. Anyway, the little bugger hit a triple! I was just wondering if you had anything to do with that? Hope so. Your friend Happy is going to be in Florida around the same time as us for a DARE conference and is planning to spend a couple days with the boys, Pat and I. The kids are exited.Well, it's late and i can barely keep my eyes open. I will keep the boys safe and happy for you. Close

hi bob, Boy the words to the song that is playing is perfect, God only cries for the living cuz its the living that is suffering, and yes we are the ones who are so far from home> that is so true.  You and my mom are in a much better beautiful place.  Its just so hard on us family members here when our parents pass at such a young age.  My mom was only 6 yrs older than you Bob ^I^.   Well i definately know the rulers up there hahaha she is tough cookie huh?  Well have a happy day, and send strength to your boys and family :)

GREAT HEAD STONE  / ENJOY THE MEMORIES

I VISITED THE GRAVE SITE YESTERDAY, AND I WANT TO SAY I REALLY LIKE THE HEAD STONE.  GREAT JOB CREATING IT.  I KNOW IT MUST HAVE BEEN HARD BUT BEING ABLE TO DESIGN IT THE WAY YOU WANTED MUST HAVE MADE YOU FEEL CLOSE TO HIM. MY MOTHER DIED TWO YEARS AGO AND SHE USED TO LIKE PLANTING FLOWER IN THE YARD SO NOW I DO THE PLANTING AND I ENJOY IT BECAUSE IT MAKES ME FEEL CLOSE TO HER AND I KNOW SHE WOULD BE PROUD.  I'M SURE SHE'S LOOKING DOWN TO SEE THE BEAUTIFUL JOB I DID IN HER FLOWER GARDEN.  BE STRONG AND NEVER STOP ENJOYING THE MEMORIES YOU HAD.

Good trip  / Nancy
Bob, The boys are going to be in the parade tomorrow for you. Do you remember driving them in those parades not so lond ago? Life has been so busy. You are keeping them busy with all of the special events in honor of you. I know they will look back someday and be honored to have done all of them. Washington was a very beautiful and humbling experience. We went there as a family, the way it should be and it was a healing time for everyone. We had some laughs and shed many tears. I met a very special of yours in Washington and I am so glad I did. She is a great person and I really enjoy talking to her. I can understand why you and the boys cared about her so much. I am so thankful to everyone who went to D.C. in support of National Police Week. I wish your name didn't have to be on that wall Bob. Send all your love and strenght to the kids. My fiancee is a police officer. Every night I kiss him goodbye and say a silent prayer for the families, friends, and fellow officers that have been left behind by sacrifices like yours. In March of 2005, we lost our dear friend Peter Grignon. He was only 27. He, like you, gave the ultimate sacrifice. He was shot by a 17 year old boy who then killed himself. He left behind a beautiful wife, Rebecca... parents, a brother, and countless officers that are forever changed. 

My fiancee has a particular distaste for DUI's. He has gotten the award for DUI apprehension more then once. He's always calling me to tell me about another DUI he got. It saddens me that this is what took your life far before your time. I quietly thank God everytime he locks up another senselessly irresponsible person. 

Officers like you and Peter and thousands of others inspire me, not only to live my life to the fullest but also to appreciate every single blessing I've been given because tomorrow surely is not promised.  I hold my officer a little tighter. We don't fight about the same petty things as before. When we lost Peter, it became so much more real. Yes, we've always visited odmp.org and known the reality of this daily sacrifice made by police officers, but we also managed to keep some sort of distance and denial about the reality of it happening to us, to our friend, to my fiancee's fellow brother in blue. 

I thank you for the work you did. I see on this site how unbelievably admired you were. You'll never be forgotten. And I hope that your family knows that all across this country you are remembered every day and that those you left behind are in my daily prayers. Through God alone is this journey after you've been taken possible. It's been a little over a year since we lost Pete in such a tragic way. It's still hard. It still feels fresh... but God is with us everyday as we carry on Peter and all fallen officers legacies. I promise I'll never let anyone forget you and your sacrifice for the job that was more then a job to you.

Hi Bob, you must have really enjoyed yesterday, to finally be able to spend Mothers Day with your mom?  I can't wait for that day, well I can but when it is my time I will be excited to spend Mothers Day again with my mom.  Im sure it was a beautiful day as always for all you angels.  Boy Bob, what a big weekend for the boys and all the families of other fallen officers? Hi Bob, I hope you are resting peacefully.I just wanted to share with you how well the dare fundraiser event went.You are  missed by everyone.I can only imagine how proud you are when looking down from heaven at your sons. I know they are still young but they truly are brave men.It brings tears to my eyes when you are being honored at an event and your sons stand so brave and tall,they are so proud of who you are.I know your spirit is with them always.I know you are also with Nancy and Pat,they are doing a great job and have always done what is right for the boys.I know that your sons meant the world to you and Nancy.Please find comfort in knowing that Nancy and Pat will always do a great job,your sons are loved so much.Stay strong in spirit and hold them close,you are doing a great job as well from heaven.bless you. ps. please let Anne know how much she is loved and missed.

HI Bob I just came on to say that I went to the dare fundraiser tonight and it was  fun.  I am sure you were watching and enjoying it also.  I know that you worked very hard on the dare program and I am sure you are happy that what you beleived in and what you worked so hard to teach the children is still going.  I know you were probably proud of everyone who worked so hard to make this night a great turnout.  Your boys looked so handsome and mature tonight too.  You and Nancy and also Pat have done such a wonderful job with them.  I just know that you will always give them strength and guide them in the right direction. Swansea is very lucky to have you as a hero and I know that you will always be a hero to Swansea and they will always keep your memory alive. R.I.P. Special night  / Nancy Cabral-Mckenna
Our little boy graduated from the DARE program tonight along with all the other wonderful kids in sixth grade. It was a beautiful night. Mrs Pettit painted a portrait of you and donated it to the school. She is very talented. It is from one our favorite pictures of you. There was also a plaque presented that is hanging on the wall in the gymnasium. Alec will see your face everywhere he turns, but that is just fine with him. Shane and Brian did a great job with the program and the graduation. Brian gave the boys a DARE tie that belonged to him. He wanted it to be kept with your  memorabelia. He really liked you Bob. That was very obvious by talking to him. Your sisters were there and Mitch and Alec were happy to see Sue. Well, we are tired and need sleep. God Bless and keep your DARE students safe for as long as you can. ......    I wonder if you can really see what we are all doing. I hope so. You must feel proud to be so loved.
